Our Prescription Glasses
Light Without Borders currently has nearly 3000 pairs of used and nearly new prescription glasses. In many cases we are able to match a patient’s prescription from our stock glasses. But sometimes we can only supply the frames from our stock, and we then have to buy the lenses and have them made by a local optician (at a reduced rate).
Our glasses have been generously donated by our volunteer optometrists, various opticians throughout Europe, and individuals. And also thanks for special contributions from the Barraquer Foundation, the Innova Ocular ICO ophthalmology clinic in Barcelona, and the We Stand Strong Foundation (through their ”We See You Campaign”).
We are excited to announce that a new partnership with the Etnia Barcelona Foundation (in collaboration with Enrique Monreal) will manufacture and supply prescription glasses free of charge.
