In Honor of Musa
Today, I want to share a piece of my heart with all of you. Musa, a dear soul I had the privilege to meet and support during my time at the Moria refugee camp, has left this world. His passing fills me with deep sadness, but also with a profound sense of gratitude for having known such a kind, courageous, and resilient man.
Musa was more than a refugee; he was a source of inspiration. His unwavering strength in the face of unimaginable challenges, his smile that could light up the darkest days, and his gentle heart left an indelible mark on everyone he met.To honor his memory, the eye clinic I run now bears his name. It is my way of keeping his spirit alive, of ensuring that his light continues to guide us. Every patient we help, every moment of hope we bring to others, carries a piece of Musa’s legacy.I believe that Musa is now a star in the heavens, shining brightly, smiling down on us, and protecting us. When I look at the sky, I feel his presence, a gentle reminder that love and kindness never truly fade .Musa’s star will forever guide me, giving me strength to continue this journey of service, and I hope it will inspire all who hear his story to look up and find their own light, even in the darkest of times.
