  Light Without Borders fosters collaboration within refugee communities by involving local volunteers in our expeditions. These volunteers assist with eye screenings, patient registration, and translation services, creating a sense of unity and mutual support among the refugees. By actively participating in the process, community members not only gain practical skills but also help build stronger connections among different groups, leading to a more cohesive and supportive environment within the camps.

• Emotional Support Through Flower Essences

  Beyond physical eye care, Light Without Borders recognizes the emotional toll that displacement, trauma, and vision impairment can take on individuals. Through the use of flower essence therapy, we provide emotional support to refugees and volunteers, helping them manage stress, anxiety, and trauma. This holistic approach to healing is especially important for those who have experienced significant hardships, offering a natural and gentle way to restore emotional balance and promote mental well-being.

• Vision for Vulnerable Communities

  Light Without Borders is dedicated to providing vital eye care services to refugee communities in Greece, where access to medical services, including eye care, is extremely limited. By offering free eye exams, prescription glasses, and necessary treatments, we help restore vision to those who need it most. These communities, often displaced by conflict and poverty, face numerous challenges, and by addressing their vision needs, we empower them to regain independence and improve their overall well-being.
